I. Outpatient Visit Process
Registration
- Online Registration: Through the hospital’s official website, WeChat Official Account, or mobile APP, select the department, doctor, and appointment time to complete the registration and pay the fee.
- On-site Registration: Go to the registration window or self-service registration machine in the outpatient hall, present ID, medical insurance card, or other valid documents, select the department and doctor, and receive the registration slip.
Waiting for Appointment
- Carry the registration slip and medical record book to the waiting area of the corresponding department and wait for your turn. The queue progress can be checked on the hospital’s electronic display screens or via the mobile APP.
Consultation
- After being called, enter the consultation room and describe your symptoms, medical history, and other relevant information in detail to the doctor. The doctor will conduct a physical examination, inquire about your medical history, and may issue an examination order or prescription.
Payment
- Pay the fee at the billing window or self-service billing machine according to the examination order or prescription issued by the doctor. Multiple payment methods are supported, including cash, bank card, WeChat, and Alipay.
Examination
- Follow the instructions on the examination order to go to the corresponding examination department (e.g., laboratory, radiology, ultrasound). Some examinations may require prior appointment or meet specific conditions (e.g., fasting, holding urine, etc.).
- Report Collection: After the examination is completed, you can collect the examination report within the specified time from the examination department or the hospital’s self-service report printing area. Some hospitals support online report query.
Follow-up Visit
- If further treatment or re-examination is needed, the doctor will arrange a follow-up appointment. Bring the previous medical records and examination reports when visiting again.
II. Inpatient Admission Process
Admission
- With the inpatient admission notice, medical record book, ID card, medical insurance card, etc., go to the inpatient department to complete the admission procedures and pay the deposit.
- The nurse will arrange a bed and assist the patient in completing related procedures, explaining the inpatient rules and precautions.
Inpatient Treatment
- The doctor will formulate a treatment plan based on the condition, arranging examinations, medications, surgeries, and other treatment measures. Patients need to cooperate with the treatment and nursing work of the medical staff.
Discharge
- After the treatment is completed, the doctor will issue discharge instructions, informing the patient of post-discharge precautions, medication methods, follow-up appointment, etc.
- The patient goes to the inpatient department to complete the discharge settlement procedures, clears the fees, and collects the discharge summary and medications.
III. Emergency Visit Process
Arrival at Emergency Room
- Emergency patients go directly to the hospital’s emergency department and explain their condition and symptoms to the medical staff.
Triage
- Nurses will triage based on the severity of the condition, categorizing patients into critical, urgent, and non-urgent levels.
Treatment
- Critical patients will be immediately taken to the resuscitation room for emergency treatment; urgent patients will be prioritized for examinations and treatments; non-urgent patients will wait in sequence.
- Follow-up Handling: If the condition is stable, the patient can choose to go home for rest or further inpatient treatment; if necessary, the doctor will arrange hospitalization or transfer.
